Academic Background

Dr. Ebenezer Nana Yeboah is a Ghanaian born who is an accounting and auditing scholar. He is a young diligent, result oriented, and a versatile person. His passion for accounting developed at senior high school and this continued when he took an Advanced Diploma in Accounting & Business. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, London. Having learnt a lot about Chinese education and impressed by the testimonials he traveled to China in 2015 to further his education. He holds an MBA in Financial Accounting from Hubei University of Technology (HBUT), Wuhan, China. In 2021 he successfully defended his dissertation titled “Research on the Economic Consequences of Audit Firm Industry Specialization: Evidence from Ghana” leading to a doctoral degree award from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Wuhan, China.

 

With respect to his professional life, he hold Executive Certificate in Public Financial Management from IMF (March 2022). He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business from ACCA.

 

Awards

His academic, leadership, voluntary and exemplary lifestyle in Wuhan earned him several awards from both his universities and the African community. Notable amongst them are Hubei Provincial Scholarship (2016), Wuhan AFCON Best Coach (2019 & 2021), Outstanding NUGS-Wuhan Member (2020/2021). He was also the coach of the Ghanaian Football team in Wuhan from 2017 to 2021 and during his time he won the Wuhan AFCON three times with the team.

 

Working Experience

Nana as affectionately called has several years of work experience in both academia and professional environment in Ghana and China. He served as an Accounts Officer and Finance Intern at Blessyil Venture, and Jayee University, all in Accra- Ghana, respectively. Also, he worked as a Teaching Assistant for Accounting and Management at Zenith University College, Accra- Ghana from 2013 to 2015. During his master’s education he was a Teaching Assistant in Accounting at Hubei University of Technology. After he completed his PhD, he founded Speed Hub Shenzhen Trading Company Limited and works as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) until he joined Hainan Tropical Ocean University as a lecturer in 2022. His Company is into international trade which focuses on purchasing and shipping of goods from China to other part of the world.

 

Languages and Hobbies

His first language is English and holds a TEFL certificate. In addition, he speaks an intermediary level of Chinese. His vacation travels to other Asian and Middle East countries have exposed him to both Chinese and other cultures. He loves research, reading, football and travelling.
